November 5th

As of November 4th I celebrated 9 months of sobriety and I am happy.  For an addict/alcoholic such as myself, everyday I remain sober is a miracle and gift.  I never thought I could stay sober for one hour let alone an entire day. Having mentioned that, I am 9 months clean and couldn’t have done it without support of family (blood or not).

My family are those people that have not left my side even at the worst of times. I do not deserve such a “family.” I am grateful for my brothers and sisters.  Side by side we stay sober everyday.

As November 4th winds down, I welcome November 5th which is the day I was born almost 33 years ago.  November 5th is also the day Eminem’s newest album hits retailers shelves.  I can’t think of a better birthday present to myself then the man that wrote the soundtrack to my life.

Eminem went from a rap Olympian to a multi platinum recording artist.  From there he went into producer and movie star. From there he went into rehab for drug addiction and now is more than on a road to recovery. He revisits old themes from “The Marshall Mathers LP” (2000) in the “Marshall Mathers LP 2” (2013)

Here is one of the latest tracks off MMLP 2. This video (below) was filmed at the inaugural Youtube Award show on November 3rd.  Hip Hop fans proceed –
