My 1st Book

I want to 1st and foremost thank everyone in my inner circle for encouraging me to follow through with my book.  If it was not for some of you I am not sure I would have been able to continue on with this project.

Before I ever studied exercise science, my undergraduate studies were in education and specifically my degree from Eastern Michigan University,  B.A. in  Language, Literature & Writing.  The person that most inspired me while I was there was Dr. Heather Neff, who was one of my very first mentors in life. I was able to be lucky enough to take a couple of her classes and it’s not often you get the chance to learn from such an accomplished author.

If anything, I put too much pressure on myself to write something half as good as her, I’d be happy.  She’s an incredibly talented and awe inspiring novelist and human.

Here I am though, right on schedule, my schedule; to complete my 1st book and send it to my editor. This project has a lot of working parts to it because of what I have planned for it as a complete project. I will update all my readers soon on what that will include.

If you would like exclusive, private updates on the books journey and eventual pre-ordering benefits, feel free to email me at and let me know. Your email will stay confidential and I always BCC everyone in the group. You will also not get more than one update per week and at anytime you can email me with “unsubscribe,” to be taken off the list.

Thank you Lisa, very much. Yes, it is my journey through early sobriety.
